TakoTV

Anime you can watch free, and legally, on YouTube

Publishers put entire anime series on YouTube for free — Muse Asia, Ani-One Asia and other official channels. Tako TV is a directory of what they have published: 7,499 episodes across 489 series, sorted into the order you would actually watch them in.

Why this exists

The anime is already free. Finding it is the hard part. A channel's uploads page is a firehose — episode 12 of one series sits between a trailer, a Short and episode 3 of another. Playlists are inconsistent where they exist at all, and nothing tells you whether a season is complete, where it starts, or whether the show you are halfway through has more episodes waiting.

Tako TV puts it in order. One page per series, its episodes numbered as they actually are, so you can start at the beginning and keep going without hunting for the next one.

What you get

What this is not

Tako TV does not host, mirror or re-stream anything, and it is not a piracy site. Every episode plays in YouTube's own embedded player, on the rights holder's video — so the view counts for them and the ads are theirs. That is the whole arrangement, and it is why the catalogue is limited to what publishers have chosen to put up for free.

Tako TV is not affiliated with YouTube or with any of the channels listed.
